About me
I am a cardiologist based in a university teaching hospital. Being the local and regional heart failure lead, I have had extensive experience in this area and have developed a internationally recognised centre of excellence. Naturally, I have good experience in the management of valve diease, pulmonary hypertension as well various cardiomyopathies. being a heart failure specialist necessitates a good all round knowledge in all cardiology areas, such as coronary artery disease (angina), hypertension and managment of arrhythmia, such as atrial fibrillation. I am a regular speaker on a national and international conferences and an up to date with the latest advances in treatment of cardiac disease. In addition to being a heart failure specialist, I have extensive experience in implanting cardiac devices such as pacemaekrs, defibrillators and cardiac resynchonisation devices.
