About me

Dr Raghavan was trained as ENT surgeon in India. After moving to the UK he has completed further five years training programme in Audiovestibular Medicine (AVM), a niche subspecialty with an aim to provide a holistic service for patients with dizziness/vertigo, poor balance, hearing loss, tinnitus and other ear related symptoms. During his specialist training, he worked in Acute medical admissions, Stroke Medicine, Geriatrics, Gastroenterology, Neurology, and Developmental Paediatrics. He has also completed secondments in Paediatric Neurology, Ophthalmology, Psychology, Psychiatry and Genetics.

He has completed MSc Audiovestibular Medicine from University College London. His research thesis was on Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) in children. Dr Raghavan started his substantive consultant role at Alder Hey children's hospital and moved to Royal Surrey hospital, Guildford. Dr Raghavan is passionate about holistic assessment of patients with hearing difficulties, tinnitus, dizziness and balance disorders. He has accumulated a wealth of experience in complex and multi-sensory balance disorders. He is keen on prevention of falls in senior citizens, hence he aims to do a comprehensive assessment when they present with dizziness/vertigo and/or poor balance. He is the medical lead for newborn hearing screening in the region. He leads a specialist clinic for children with complex needs, speech and language delay, tinnitus, hyperacusis and dizziness.
