About me

Mr. Khan Consultant Cardiac Surgeon | Specialist in Valve Disease & Arterial Revascularization

Mr. Khan is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon with a specialist interest in heart valve disease, arterial revascularization, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He completed his basic surgical training before entering the London Deanery cardiothoracic training programme, where he gained extensive experience in complex aortic procedures, including thoracic aortic surgery, and advanced mitral valve interventions.

With a strong focus on innovation, Mr. Khan has pioneered and established the minimally invasive conduit harvesting programme in his unit, further enhancing outcomes and recovery for patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). His practice routinely incorporates minimally invasive valve surgery, reflecting his commitment to adopting the most effective and least invasive surgical strategies.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr. Khan has a deep commitment to academic development. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences.

To complement his clinical and academic work, Mr. Khan completed an MBA at King's College London, equipping him with broader strategic, leadership, and operational skills. This unique combination of clinical excellence and business acumen positions him to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while engaging effectively with innovation and service development within the private healthcare sector
