About me

I am an experienced counsellor and clinical supervisor and have specialised in fertility counselling since 2004. I support individuals and couples at all stages of their fertility journey, offering a warm, confidential and supportive space to explore the emotional and psychological impact of fertility difficulties and treatment.

I have extensive experience across all aspects of fertility and reproductive care, including IVF and assisted conception, infertility, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, unsuccessful treatment, donor conception, surrogacy, fertility preservation and implications counselling. I also support people with the emotional transition into pregnancy and parenting following fertility treatment, as well as those facing difficult treatment decisions, considering ending treatment or exploring alternative routes to creating a family.

I have worked within both NHS and private fertility services throughout my specialist career and currently provide specialist fertility counselling to a number of fertility clinics across the UK. Alongside this work, I have a private counselling and supervision practice in York, offering face-to-face, video and telephone appointments.

I am an Accredited Member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) and a member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

Alongside my clinical practice, I am Chair of BICA and Deputy Chair of the BICA Accreditation Board. I am also the Counsellor Representative on the British Fertility Society (BFS) Executive Committee and a Trustee of The Fertility Alliance.
