About me
I qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1995, from where I was later awarded ‘MD with Honours’ in 2004, for my thesis "The prothrombotic state in Atrial Fibrillation: potential mechanisms and clinical significance".
After four years of postgraduate training in general medicine, my six-year specialty training in General and Interventional Cardiology was obtained in Leeds, Birmingham, London and Nova Scotia Canada.
I am a consultant interventional and general cardiologist at the South Yorkshire Cardiothoracic Centre, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. I previously held consultant posts at Pinderfields Hospital, where I established the coronary intervention service in 2010, and Freeman Hospital Newcastle.
My Interventional Cardiology private practice is based at Leeds Nuffield Hospital, but I can provide remote outpatient consultations to anywhere in the UK.
