About me
Mr Sam Dobson MRCOG is a Consultant Gynaecologist and a Royal College Accredited Sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. In addition to seeing patients at the Park Hospital, Nottingham, he is also a Clinic Director and Lead Consultant at CREATE Fertility, one of the largest IVF providers in the UK.
Mr Dobson has presented his research internationally and published many scientific papers and book chapters on topics such as reproductive tubal & minimal access surgery, recurrent miscarriage, gynaecological ultrasound, embryo transfer, Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and medical education.
Fertility Care
As a Royal College accredited sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, Mr Dobson is perfectly suited to offer a comprehensive fertility service tailored to you. From initial fertility assessment through to treatment, surgery and IVF care, Mr Dobson is able to support you in all aspects of your fertility journey, including recurrent miscarriage and recurrent implantation failure. Services also offered include: Independent IVF cycle reviews/ planning, Pelvic ultrasound, Tubal testing (HyCoSy), fertility MOT and ovarian reserve testing.
Reversal of Female Sterilisation
Trained by Mr Pickles, internationally renowned reversal of tubal sterilisation expert, Mr Dobson is able to provides the very best care both during and after your reversal of tubal sterilisation. Menopause Care
Mr Dobson is a British Menopause Society (BMS) accredited Menopause Specialist and Trainer. Mr Dobson is passionate about improving access to high quality menopause care and is regularly involved in regional/ national training events, giving talks to GPs and specialist trainees. Due to his advanced training he is able to offer advice for the most troublesome and complex menopausal symptoms. Whilst taking a holistic approach, he is also able to offer all types of HRT, including non hormonal and oestrogen/ testosterone implants.
Gynaecological Care
As a consultant gynaecologist, Mr Dobson is highly skilled in the treatment of all manner of gynaecological conditions including pelvic pain, endometriosis, PCOS, ovarian cysts, heavy menstrual bleeding problems & premenstrual syndrome (PMS). In addition to this, trained in advanced pelvic ultrasound scanning, Mr Dobson is able to offer ultrasound scanning for early pregnancy, fertility and general gynaecological care during his consultations in the outpatient department.
Surgical Care
Whilst many problems can be treated conservatively or medically, sometimes surgery is required. If this is the case, you are in safe hands. In addition to sub specialist training in gynaecological and reproductive surgery, Mr Dobson has completed the Advanced Diploma in Endoscopic (key hole) Surgery from the European society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.
