About me
Saima is a consultant clinical psychologist. She has worked in the NHS since 2007. She currently leads a psychological therapy service for people with complex psychological difficulties, particularly trauma. She has worked in NGO, government and private sector roles, and she is a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Nottingham and Leicester.
Saima has participated in a number of international conferences and events, speaking and presenting research to government, practitioner and civil society audiences around the world.
Saima is keen to find a way of working that is flexible to your needs and to help you address the areas you wish to do so. She draws on a range of evidence based models and approaches and will tailor the therapy to your specific needs. She is always respectful of the journey you want to take and open to think about the best ways of supporting you. She has longstanding experience of working with trauma and complex mental health difficulties, across cultures and different faith groups. Utilising psychodynamic principles, as well as CBT, systemic and person-centred approaches.
