About me

I am a leading Consultant Cardiologist and Honorary Associate Professor, specialising in General and Interventional Cardiology.

I am a Consultant General and Interventional Cardiologist in the NHS at Glenfield Hospital, a top regional and national cardiac centre. I am also an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leicester and an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at University College London Hospitals. I see private patients at several hospitals in Leicester, Nottingham, across the East Midlands and in London.

I trained in medicine at Cambridge University and University College London. Following this, I was awarded membership of the Royal College of Physicians whilst training at Hammersmith, UCLH, Harefield and the Royal Brompton Hospitals in London. During my Cardiology training, I did research in Cardiovascular and Coronary Physiology, which was funded by a prestigious British Heart Foundation fellowship. This gained me an award winning PhD degree from the University of London. Following this, I completed general and interventional cardiology training and a fellowship at Barts Heart Centre and was appointed Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust. Following this I was appointed Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital, covering Leicester and the wider East Midlands region.

I see patients for all aspects of adult cardiology. These include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, palpitations and shortness of breath. I have specialist experience in the management of chest pain, breathlessness, angina and heart attacks. This includes investigation and management of chest pain with angiography, angioplasty and stenting. In terms of coronary intervention, I am a recognised national expert in management of patients with Cardiovascular Disease and Heart Attacks.. Recently I have been crediting with transforming Heart Attack pathways in the region.
