About me
Mr Kelly has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for 18 years serving a population of 360,000. He has experience in all aspects of the investigation, non-operative treatment and surgery of musculoskeletal trauma and orthopaedic conditions.
Mr Kelly’s elective practice is specialised in Foot & Ankle and Knee (soft tissue and primary replacement) surgery.
Mr Kelly’s special interests are arthroscopic surgery of the ankle and knee, arthrodesis and osteotomies for foot deformity. Prior to present appointment, he used overseas Fellowships augment UK postgraduate orthopaedic training. The first was in adult foot and ankle surgery and general trauma at Flinders Medical Centre, a tertiary referral trauma centre for half the State of South Australia. This Fellowship training emphasised the surgery of adult forefoot and hindfoot deformity. The second Fellowship was at SPORTSMED.SA, a world-leading independent multi-disciplinary Sports Medicine practice.
Mr Kelly is committed to training, education and research. He is an Honorary Lecturer at University of Bristol and UK Faculty member of AO (Association for the Study of Internal Fixation). He has over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is Principle Investigator for ongoing national multi centre clinical studies.
