About me
Dr Alex Langford qualified as a doctor in 2009. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2012, and a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2014. He also holds a BSc in Psychology.
Alex completed his psychiatric training in London and Oxford. His NHS consultant posts were on female and intensive care psychiatric units, before he moved completely into independent practice in 2022.
Dr Langford treats a wide range of mental illnesses including mood, anxiety, personality disorders, and psychotic illnesses. He has a special interest in occupational psychiatry, that is, the interaction between mental health and work.
Dr Langford is on the RCPsych Occupational Psychiatry Special Interest Group committee, and has a Diploma in Occupational Medicine. He enjoys exercise, mindfulness, chess, and spending time with his family.
Dr Langford is available for face-to-face sessions in London and Oxford as well as consultations via Zoom.
