About me
Aleix Rovira is a consultant otorhinolaryngologist head and neck surgeon.
Aleix was born in Barcelona and graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He undertook his ear, nose and throat (ENT) training at Bellvitge University Hospital and spent an extra training year of advanced head and neck surgical fellowship at Guy's Hospital.
He is a core member of the head and neck cancer, thyroid cancer, non-melanoma skin cancer multidisciplinary teams at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital.
As part of his role, he provides head and neck cancer services to south east London as well as a tertiary service (referrals from other hospitals) for complex head and neck, thyroid and advanced skin cancer.
Aleix is also involved in research with several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He completed a PhD at the University of Barcelona analysing the role of salvage surgery after head and neck cancer previously treated with anti-EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor). He is a reviewer for several head and neck international journals.
