About me

Miss Lovett is a General and Colorectal Surgeon. She was appointed to Basildon Hospital in 2001 and is now the Medical Director for General Surgery, Urology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Opthalmology,and Head & Neck Surgery for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
Miss Lovett maintains an interest in teaching and training, previously President of the Association of Surgeons in Training, she is an Intercollegiate MRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and as an elected member of the Council of RCS England chairs the Dental and Surgical Exams Committee.
Miss Lovett undertakes laparoscopic surgery for all common colorectal disease including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, rectal prolapse and both inguinal, parastomal and incisional herniae.
Miss Lovett trained in hepatobiliary surgery and regularly undertakes laparoscopic gallbladder removal.
As a Coloproctologist she offers clinic based treatment for haemorrhoids and anal fissures. She regularly undertakes investigations for rectal bleeding and anaemia including colonscopy and Upper GI endoscopy.
She can remove skin lesions including lipomas.
