About me
Dr Ajay Verma is a clinical academic Gastroenterologist based at Kettering General Hospital and Honorary Associate Professor for the University of Leicester's cancer research centre.
Dr Verma is the Director of Research & Innovation for University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (Kettering General Hospital & Northampton General Hospital). He is the chief investigator for the multi-centre CRUK funded COLO-PREVENT study.
Dr Verma is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London). He is a member of the inflammatory bowel disease & endoscopy clinical research sections for the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG). He is the Gastroenterology & Hepatology Specialty Lead NIHR East Midlands.
Dr Verma is involved in local and national policy / guideline groups - a co-author of the BSG's iron deficiency anaemia and inflammatory bowel disease guidelines. He is also a committee member of Midlands Gastroenterological Society and the MidOx IBD network.
