About me
Professor Andrew Veitch is a leading gastroenterologist, with a national and international reputation in teaching and developing guidelines for better clinical practice. He has been practicing gastroenterology as a consultant for more than 25 years. His NHS practice is in Gloucestershire. He was instrumental in developing a centre of excellence in endoscopy, and set up the first bowel cancer screening centre in England, while in Wolverhampton. He is an Honorary Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Wolverhampton and has more than 80 academic publications. He has a general gastroenterology and hepatology private practice and is a specialist therapeutic endoscopist.
Professor Veitch is a past President of the British Society of Gastroenterology. He has led on quality improvement in endoscopy services for the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and he has a previous global role as Chair of the Endoscopy Committee of the World Gastroenterology Organisation.
