About me
Mr Francis Afadapa is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with the Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he is also lead clinician for Early Pregnancy assessment clinic and Ambulatory gynaecological services as well as the Cervical screening programme lead for the Trust.
Mr Afadapa graduated from the University of Benin medical school and had his postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with Mersey Deanery in Liverpool during which he rotated through the Countess of Chester Foundation Trust, Arrowe Park University Hospital, The St Helens and Knowsley University Hospital and the Liverpool Womens’ Hospital, he has been qualified as a consultant gynaecologist for over 10yrs. He was first appointed as a consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and worked at the Pennine Acute Trust in greater Manchester before moving to Dorset in 2018.
Mr Afadapa has a post graduate certificate in Risk Management and patient safety and has a keen interest in hospital safety, multidisciplinary team working and simulation training.
