About me

Dr Michael Kosmin is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. After completing his medical training at the University of Cambridge and University College London, Michael undertook his core medical training and Clinical Oncology training within the north London region. Michael has gone onto develop significant expertise in the use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy for the management of tumours of the central nervous system. He has a particular interest in advanced radiotherapy techniques including stereotactic radiotherapy and proton beam therapy.
In addition to his clinical practice, Michael is an honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the UCL Cancer Institute. He leads several research projects that have received competitive funding, and he collaborates closely with clinical and academic colleagues in the design and delivery of studies evaluating the use of advanced neuro-imaging to personalise and optimise radiotherapy treatment for brain tumours.
He is the Royal College of Radiologists’ College Tutor and the local postgraduate medical education lead for clinical oncology at UCLH. He speaks regularly to expert and lay audiences on the management of brain tumours.
