About me

My name is Moriam Yarwood. I am an experienced Advanced Person Centred Counsellor / Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.
I work in a non- judgemental, empathic and respectful manner. I have been a Member of the BACP since 2006 and gained Accreditation in 2015. I adhere to the BACP code of ethics and attend monthly supervision.
As well as being person centred I am also trained to use other therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Mindfulness and expressive therapies.
My clinical experience has been gained in working, with adults, older aged adults, couples and children (ages 5 yrs - 17) . I have worked in a variety of settings including; NHS, schools and voluntary sector, Oldham Bereavement Support Services and Oldham Cancer Support.
Since 2015 I have worked in my own Private Practice, working with private clients as well as Work Employment Assistant Programmes and in this capacity have attended critical / traumatic incidents offering one-to-one and group support work.
