About us
Mr Tom Fearnley MA (Cantab) MBBS FRCOphth was appointed as a consultant ophthalmic, oculoplastic and orbital surgeon at York Teaching Hospital NHS Trust in 2016 and continues a full time NHS practice there. His areas of expertise include oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery.
Mr Fearnley graduated from Cambridge University in 2000 before completing his clinical studies at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical school, London, in 2004. After three years of further general medical training at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, he embarked upon seven years of ophthalmic specialist training in his native Yorkshire. To further his experience and expertise, he then undertook a further two years of subspecialty fellowship training in ocular oncology, oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery at both the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, and Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia.
