About me
Dr Meyer is a full-time intensive care consultant at Guys & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust since 2015 and KCL Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer. He completed a doctoral thesis on viral vector vaccines at University of Oxford. Current areas of focus are functional recovery after critical illness, driving resumption after critical illness and digital innovations in ICU patient/family care. Dr Meyer co-leads the GSTT critical illness recovery service and is Deputy Chair of the UK Faculty of Intensive Care Medicines Life After Critical Illness programme. He is the co-founder of Life Lines, a philanthropic UK-wide covid-response initiative to provide virtual visiting in ICUs to overcome pandemic visiting restrictions.
