About me

Dr.Vikas Gupta is a Consultant Paediatrician with specialist interest in allergy and Nephrology at Hull and East Yorkshire teaching hospitals NHS trust. He has been a Consultant at Hull Royal Infirmary for more than 10 years.

Dr Gupta is the lead for paediatric allergy and Nephrology at Hull Royal Infirmary. He does a combination of General Paediatric, allergy and nephrology clinics. He also runs a hypertension service for children with facilities of ambulatory blood pressure at Hull Royal Infirmary.

He reviews children referred on the two week cancer pathway and is the deputy for paediatric shared care care oncology services.

Dr.Gupta is also incharge of the junior doctors rota and is the lead for Governance for General Paediatrics at Hull Royal Infirmary

At present Dr.Gupta, personally sees excess of 700 patients with allergic disease per year. The majority of which are for food allergy (common foods including dairy, egg, fish, wheat, soya, peanut, treenuts and sesame), allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (hayfever - grass pollen, tree pollen, house dust mite) and idiopathic urticaria.

Many of these children with food allergies also suffer with Eczema, Dr.Gupta is able to advice management of Eczema for this very chronic and problematic condition.

Dr.Vikas Gupta, also does General Paediatric and Nephrology clinics and manages a wide variety of common medical conditions like UTI, haematuria, headaches, constipation abdominal pain, reflux, diarrhoea, heart murmurs, fainting episodes, palpitatios, recurrent rashes, chest pain, etc.
