About me

I am a warm and compassionate psychologist with over 15 years experience, working with people across the lifespan with a range of issues and difficulties. I recently held the position of Principal Clinical Psychologist within local NHS services, and am now dedicating my time to private practice and teaching psychologists in training. I am a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I am passionate about supporting people in navigating the challenges that life can present, and considers it a privilege to accompany people on their journey of increased understanding, personal growth and positive change.

I offer both face-to-face and remote (online) appointments.

Areas of interest

I draw upon a range of therapeutic models and approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprogramming (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). Therapy is always tailored to your individual preferences, difficulties, needs and goals.

I enjoy working with a range of mental health difficulties and common struggles, including anxiety, panic, phobias, low mood, adjustment, stress, burnout, low self-confidence, sleep problems, loss and grief, eating disorders and trauma. I also support individuals with relationship difficulties.

I have a particular interest in physical health difficulties and the relationship between our physical and emotional wellbeing. I have worked in a number of physical health psychology services, including those for people with persistent pain, chronic fatigue/ME, gastrointestinal problems, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, cardiology conditions, burns and cancer.
