About me

Dr Jonathan Dunne is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with nearly 15 years of experience and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Plastic Surgery). He is uniquely trained in all aspects of facial plastic surgery, undertaking two further years of fellowships in minimally invasive facial skin cancer treatment (Mohs surgery), head and neck microvascular surgery, facial palsy, and craniofacial and aesthetic surgery. His further training in facial plastic surgery was completed in Melbourne, Boston and Stockholm, and aesthetic training in London hospitals including the Wellington, King Edward VII, the London Clinic and St John and St Elizabeth's.
Jonathan is lead clinician for the Imperial Skin Cancer Service and founded the Imperial Facial Reconstruction Centre, a multi-specialty collaborative providing expert care. He co-authored the Oxford Handbook of Head & Neck anatomy, has authored more than 50 publications and book chapters, and is regularly invited to speak at international meetings on facial plastic surgery and skin cancer, being awarded several national prizes. He is the Principal Investigator for the international MelMarT-II melanoma trial at Imperial, and Chief Investigator for the DEPLOY desmoplastic melanoma study.
Jonathan is passionate about plastic surgery education and development in resource-poor settings. He has worked for 6 months in Blantyre, Malawi, and is a trustee of the Malawi Burns Trust and a member of the national committee for BFIRST (British Foundation for International Reconstructive Surgery & Training).
