About me

I have been working as a CBT Psychotherapist for over 20 years with experience working as a high and low intensity therapist within primary and secondary care settings in the NHS. I have also been working as a CBT Psychotherapist in the private sector for 20 years and I am a clinical supervisor for CBT therapists.
I have experience working with a range of anxiety disorders and depression using CBT protocols in line with NICE guidelines.
In addition to training as a CBT therapist, I am also trained in the use of EMDR and Schema Therapy.
I have a particular interest in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)and in 2010 I trained to deliver MBCT to groups and individuals at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre by Mark Williams. In 2012, I founded and ran The Mindfulness Centre NI delivering mindfulness sessions to the general public, Corporate clients, NHS, Education Authority, Police Service and Charitable organisations.
I practice mindfulness and yoga, enjoy cooking, reading and walking my dog, Archie
