About me

I am the founder of Chelmsford Talking Therapy and an experienced, fully qualified Registered and BACP Accredited Counsellor. I hold an industry recognised Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Therapy.

Whilst my core approach to counselling is psychodynamic, I am flexible in my practice and always open to exploring client options in line with their own, individual needs.

My client base is wide ranging. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with acute anxiety, depression, panic attacks, bereavement, work related and personal stress, anger problems and difficulties relating to trauma/PTSD; both on a long term and short term basis.

As well as work with adults and couples, I also have over eight years experience working therapeutically with children, young people and their families. I also provide telephone and video counselling EAP services for a number of governmental bodies all over the UK, including (but not limited to): NHS Services in Essex, Yorkshire and the West country; Police Scotland, Metropolitan Police, Northumbria Police, Surrey Police and BCH Police Forces; Royal Mail Group, and various local authorities.

My practice involves gentle, non-oppressive exploration into a client’s inner world taking into account, amongst other things, that person’s individual belief system, their relational and inter-relational history, childhood experiences / significant figures in their childhood, and how that client views the world around them from their own, personal perspective.

Areas of interest

My client base is wide ranging. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with acute anxiety, depression, panic attacks, bereavement, anger problems and difficulties relating to trauma/PTSD; both on a long term and short basis.

I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their feelings and gain a greater understanding of different aspects of their lives.
