About me

Mr. Gerard Kelly is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in trauma surgery, complex limb reconstruction surgery, sports injuries and the surgical treatment of all foot and ankle conditions.

Mr Kelly graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2009. He completed the Northern Ireland Orthopaedic Higher Surgical Training programme. Mr Kelly also completed a higher degree in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery through the University of Edinburgh. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2018.

Mr Kelly went on to complete the world-renowned Liverpool Foot & Ankle surgery fellowship under the guidance of Mr Andy Molloy and Prof. Lyndon Mason. He also completed the prestigious Complex Limb Reconstruction fellowship in Liverpool under the guidance of Mr Badri Narayan.

Mr Kelly is a consultant in Musgrave Park Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Mr Kelly specialises in all aspects of Foot and Ankle surgery. He also specialises in adult and paediatric complex deformity correction and both paediatric and adult fracture surgery.

Mr Kelly, in addition to his clinical activities, has published and presented his work both nationally and internationally. He has won multiple awards for his quality improvement work with a focus on improving patient’s experiences and safety.
