About me
Mr Osama Naji is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and the Lead for the Women's Rapid Diagnostics Unit at Guy's Cancer Centre. He works in a prestigious institution that is ranked first in the UK and 44th in the world.
His is specialising in the early detection of gynaecological pre-cancerous conditions using advanced outpatient facilities such as colposcopy, ultrasound and hysteroscopy, aiming to lessening the need for major surgery. Additionally, he has expertise in the field of ultrasound-guided minimally invasive procedures to investigate infertility, menopause, emergency gynaecological conditions and early pregnancy.
Renowned for his friendly and approachable demeanour, with dedication to providing modern care, Mr Naji’s patients glean the benefits of a fast diagnosis, quick recovery time and lower risk of complications.
Mr Naji first qualified in Baghdad, Iraq, and went on to complete his postgraduate specialist training at centres of excellence in London and the West Midlands. He attended Imperial College London and attained a Medical Doctorate in Research (MD) for developing novel methods for assessing incomplete caesarean section scar healing by ultrasound, and its' subsequent effects on early pregnancy, infertility, and menstrual bleeding abnormalities.
He is an active researcher and an accomplished author with several publications in the field, plus a faculty member and speaker for a range of societies and conferences within the UK and the Middle East.
