About me
I am a consultant dermatologist at Mid & South Essex University Hospital Trust. I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at University of Colombo in Sri Lanka and completed my dermatology training in the UK.
I am fully registered with the General Medical Council and also a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and Royal College of Physicians of UK.
I have over 20 years of experience in practicing as a dermatologist within the UK. I believe in holistic approach in the management of patients seen in dermatology clinics. I am very much aware of the close association of patients’ emotional status and self confidence with the conditions affecting their skin, hair or nails. Over the years I have found this approach is very therapeutic and beneficial to my patients.
I consult on all general dermatology problems including Skin cancer, mole checking, warts and all types of inflammatory conditions involving skin, hair and nail and genital area of adults. In addition, I am able to perform dermatological surgery that includes removal of skin cancer, moles, skin tags, Cryotherapy and skin biopsies. I am registered with several UK medical insurance companies.
