About me

Mr Nikul Amin is a consultant ENT surgeon treating both children and adults with a specialist interest in managing ear and hearing problems. He has an NHS Consultant practice in ENT and hearing implant surgery at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London, including Evelina London Children's Hospital.

Mr Amin completed his medical studies in 2009 at University College London where he also obtained additional degrees in Medical Science and Pharmacology as well as a Master of Science in Evidence Based Healthcare for which he was received a Distinction award.

During his training in London, Mr Amin specialised in a broad range of ENT conditions in children and adults. He went on to complete an internationally renowned fellowship in Advanced Otology & Auditory Implants at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in 2020 where he acquired specialist skills across all aspects of otology and hearing implant surgery including cochlear implants in both adults and children. Mr Amin further developed these skills at world leading centres in Italy and Australia after being awarded numerous prizes including the TWJ Foundation Short Fellowship, Simpson Smith Travel Award and Ethicon Foundation Travel Fund Grant.

Nikul constantly strives to provide the highest standards of patient care and has matched his clinical work with a strong interest in clinical research and evidence-based healthcare having published 35 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and over 50 scientific presentations around the world. This has allowed him to deliver the most up-to-date care utilising innovative minimally-invasive techniques for his patients. Working at a university hospital allows him to help train the next generation of medical students and surgeons, where he takes great pride in being an organiser of an international surgical course and being a faculty member on many more.
