About me
Mr Ghazanfar is a Consultant General Surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He graduated in 2000 from Pakistan. His higher surgical training in UK was in Oxford and Aberdeen. He has a special interest in keyhole surgery and holds a master’s degree in minimal access surgery (University of Dundee).
He has extensive experience in general surgery and is a specialist in pancreatitis and biliary diseases. He is the lead for acute gallstone disease in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. His other expertise are keyhole treatment of abdominal wall and groin hernias.
He is actively involved in medical student teaching and holds an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer position at the University of Aberdeen Medical School. He is a Royal College of Surgeons faculty member for post-graduate teaching. His research focus is pancreatitis, biliary diseases, and liver cancer.
