About me
Robert was appointed as a Consultant Upper GI and General Surgeon with an interest in Bariatric and Laparoscopic surgery at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in 2018. This followed an International Fellowship at Concord Repatriation Hospital in Sydney, Australia where he gained extensive experience in Bariatric Surgery performing over 200 bariatric procedures (Sleeve Gastrectomy / Mini Gastric Bypass) during this time.
With a particular injury in gallstone and gallbladder surgery, he has also continued to develop the laparoscopic bile duct exploration service at QEUH as well as providing a referral pathway for difficult or complex gallbladder surgery.
During this time he continues to perform hernia surgery (open and laparoscopic), anti-reflux surgery and all other aspects of general surgery and upper GI surgery on a regular basis.
