About me
Mark Jones graduated in 2009 from Imperial College School of Medicine in London. He completed his higher surgical training in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex region before gaining international experience in Brisbane Australia, where he undertook a fellowship with World renowned surgeons in all aspects of knee surgery, including the management of sports injuries in the professional athlete and computer assisted knee replacement.
Mark was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Trust in 2021, sub-specialising in knee surgery. He regularly performs total and unicompartmental knee replacements and all aspects of sports knee injury management including ligament reconstruction and arthroscopic procedures including meniscal repairs.
Mark is a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for his continued commitment to teaching and is a regularly faculty member of the Advanced Trauma Life Support Course. Mark is also a member of the BOA, BASK and the South East Thames Knee Study Group.
Mark is married with three children. He is a keen sportsman having completed a local olympic distance triathlon as well as the Goldcoast and the London marathons.
