About me
Hi! My name is Dr Claudia Hallett and I’m a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I gained my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the World leading Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience.
As a Clinical Psychologist I am trained in multiple psychotherapeutic approaches, but over the course of my career I’ve chosen to specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies, taking me from competent to expert in delivering CBT.
Throughout my professional career, I have worked extensively with clients of all ages; adults, adolescents and children. I have worked in Primary care settings (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies services, GP surgeries), Secondary care community settings (Community Mental Health Teams), Inpatient wards and National & Specialist services. As a Clinical Psychologist, I am knowledgable about many different psychological approaches (e.g. Mindfulness, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), but my main speciality and expertise is in providing gold-standard Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Alongside private practice, I work in a specialist Anxiety and Trauma clinic with South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, where I lead the Depersonalisation and Derealisation Disorder CBT service.
