About me
I am a fellowship-trained Consultant ENT Surgeon. My NHS practice is at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust, where I have been a Consultant since 2014. In 2020, I was appointed to the role of Clinical Lead for the ENT department.
My special areas of expertise are in disorders of the ear, hearing and balance. I also have an interest in nasal and sinus conditions.
In my practice, I treat hearing loss, blocked ears, ear infections, dizziness, blocked nose, sinusitis, tonsillitis and hoarseness
My specialist skills are in eardrum repair, middle ear surgery, endoscopic ear surgery, mastoidectomy, septoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery. I also have a wealth of experience in general ENT procedures such as tonsillectomy, grommet insertion and earwax removal.
I qualified from the University of Manchester and completed my ENT specialist training at the Yorkshire Deanery. Following this, I undertook further specialist training in the form of fellowships in Paediatric ENT at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and in Otology & Neurotology with Professors Bance and Morris, Dalhousie University, Canada. I was also awarded travelling fellowship to the Causse Clinic where I learnt further techniques in middle ear and mastoid surgery. I have also undertaken specific training in endoscopic ear surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery.
I am a keen educator and am very active in teaching and training of medical students and surgical trainees. In recognition of this, I was awarded Honorary Senior Lecturer status by the University of Leeds and am the Educational Supervisor to ENT trainees.
