About me

Dr Emilly Scott is a fully qualified and accredited Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Emilly has experience working with clients of all ages.

Emilly has worked within the NHS for over nine years with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. Emilly also has experience supporting clients to navigate relationship difficulties and can offer couples therapy.

Emilly draws from a range of evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Emilly uses these techniques in a collaborative and explorative way to help individuals’ navigate challenges and improve wellbeing. Emilly has also undertaken further training and has experience working with couples. Emilly’s primary aim within therapy is to create a safe space where goals can be developed and skills and strategies can be discovered to work toward recovery. Emilly is supportive and non-judgemental and creates an environment that is both accepting and empowering.

Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology
Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health
​Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

Dr Emilly Scott is able to offer in person sessions in Dundee and Aberdeen as well as online and telephone appointments.
