About me

Dr Craig Zalecki is a Consultant Physician in Sport, Exercise, and Musculoskeletal Medicine and one of a small group of UK physicians awarded a Fellowship with the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine

With over a decade of experience, Dr Zalecki specialises in diagnosing and managing conditions and injuries affecting bones, joints, muscles, and tendons without the need for surgery. He provides expert care to patients of all activity levels and lifestyles, from those with general musculoskeletal concerns to professional athletes and recreationally active individuals seeking to recover from injuries and enhance their performance

Dr Zalecki draws on extensive experience across elite sport, military, academic, and NHS settings, delivering high-performance management principles to benefit his patients. His clinical approach integrates musculoskeletal ultrasound for accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment planning, enabling precise delivery of a range of injectable therapies

A Yorkshire native, Dr Zalecki attended Tadcaster Grammar School before pursuing higher education at some of the world's leading institutions. He earned a BSc in Human Biology from King's College London and completed his medical degree at University College London

After qualifying, Dr Zalecki served as a doctor in the Royal Army Medical Corps and undertook General Practitioner training in the prestigious Oxford Deanery. He later returned to Yorkshire to complete specialist training in Sport and Exercise Medicine

Dr Zalecki has held several high-profile roles in elite sports medicine, including serving as the team doctor for the GB Basketball Senior Women's Team and working with GB Boxing at the English Institute of Sport, as well as Leeds Rhinos Academy

Currently, Dr Zalecki is a Consultant for the Ministry of Defence, working with military personnel and infantry recruits at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire. He also serves as a Senior Clinical Tutor at the University of Leeds, teaching postgraduate students in Sports and Exercise Medicine and musculoskeletal medicine
