About me

Mr Tofunmi Oni is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty practice in hip and knee surgery. He sees private patients at Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells and The Horder Centre in Crowborough, and accepts patients from across Kent, Sussex and the wider South East.

His clinical focus covers primary hip and knee replacement, hip revision surgery, complex primary cases and second opinions. He offers robotic assisted knee replacement using the ROSA Knee System where it is appropriate for the individual patient. In his NHS practice at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust he leads the weekly revision hip multidisciplinary team meeting, which coordinates the assessment and planning of complex and failed hip replacement cases across the region.

All care is consultant led. Mr Oni takes the history, examines you, reviews your imaging with you and explains what he finds in plain language. If the right answer is not surgery, he says so, and many patients leave a first appointment with a plan built around physiotherapy, injections or simply time and review. When surgery is the right step, the same surgeon plans the operation, performs it and reviews you afterwards. He routinely collects outcome and patient satisfaction measures across his practice and is happy to discuss them at consultation.
