About me

I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2008 and have worked in both Child and Adolescent, and Adult Mental Health Services, giving me expertise in working across the age range. One of the most important aspects of therapy is that you feel at ease in sharing parts of your life that you may find difficult to explore with your friends and family. This is why my approach is one of kindness and compassion, where you, or your family member, will never feel judged or criticised.

I offer in-person appointments from The Walden Clinic, in Glasgow City Centre, but also offer online appointments if this is more convenient for you.

Areas of interest

I have undertaken post-qualification training in Compassion Focussed Therapy, completing my advanced training with Dr Paul Gilbert, who developed the approach. I have an interest and expertise in working with neurodivergent clients, particularly those with ASD and ADHD, both providing assessment and support following diagnosis. I also have a particular interest in trauma and eating disorders, having worked in an adult eating disorder service for 6 years. Other areas of expertise include anxiety, depression and OCD.

I am trained in providing Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a model of therapy originally developed to work with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but which has an increasing evidence-base for addressing a number of other difficulties. I have also recently attended training integrating this approach with Internal Family Systems.
