About me
Dr Bowles completed her medical degree at the University of London and specialty training in hematology at the University College Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital following her medical rotations. Since 2008, she has worked as a thrombosis and hemostasis consultant at Barts Heath NHStrust.
Dr Bowles specialises in thrombosis and hemostasis. She has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of blood clotting disorders that cause bleeding or abnormal blood clots such as pulmonary embolus and deep vein thrombosis. She provides advice and treatment options including anticoagulation. She has also developed expertise in the effect of blood clotting disorders on women's health for example leading to heavy menstrual bleeding or effect on hormonal therapy choice as well as haematological disorders in pregnancy.
Dr Bowles has authored a number of local and national thrombosis and haemostasis guidelines. She is also a teacher and examiner for The Royal College of Pathologists.
