About me
Dr Alexandra Croom qualified from St Mary's Hospital Medical School. After posts in General Medicine and Respiratory Medicine she completed her specialist training in Allergy at the Royal Brompton Hospital - the first UK trainee to do so. In 2002 she was appointed as Consultant Allergist at St Mary's Hospital in London. She took up a Consultant post at Glenfield in 2004 and remained working there until July 2016. Most recently (November 2018-November 2024) she worked as a Consultant Allergist at Queen's Medical Centre Nottingham, where she was Head of Service for Clinical Immunology and Allergy.
She sits on the Scientific and Advisory Panel of the Anaphylaxis Campaign and is currently the East Midlands Training Programme Director for Clinical Immunology and Allergy.
