About me

Consultant General Surgeon in Basingstoke for 22 years with extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery. Experience includes:
Over 3,000 laparoscopic cholecystectomies (near-zero rate of conversion to open operation), including laparoscopic bile duct exploration.
Over 1,000 groin hernia repairs by the endoscopic TEP mesh approach (near-zero recurrence / conversion rate and provider of live-operating courses for consultant surgeons and trainees wishing to master this technique).
Approximately 500 laparoscopic anti-reflux / hiatus hernia repair procedures
Approximately 500 laparoscopic weight loss operations (gastric bypass or banding for morbid obesity).
Approximately 400 liver resections and lead surgeon for laparoscopic liver resection (>100 cases)
