About me
I provide bespoke psychology service for people from culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Many clients from the Black, Asian and Minority communities in the UK express the need for psychotherapy to incorporate the influence of their dominant culture, alongside the role of their heritage culture, in order to fully conceptualise the emotional and psychological challenges these can bring.
For the past twenty years I have been supporting a range of mental health departments within the National Health Service (NHS), Social Services, as well as within the educational, medical, and corporate sectors.
As an Accredited BABCP Cognitive Behavioural Therapist I provide assessments and treatments for mental health conditions as guided by National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).
I have experience in treating depression and a wide range of anxiety disorders, such as Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder OCD), Panic Attacks/Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Social Anxiety.
I have supported thousands of men and women through work related stress, personal and relationship issues, self-management of long-term health conditions via Behavioural Change techniques of Health Psychology. as well as Trauma Based CBT for childhood and adult life trauma.
Other areas of experience are: Anger management, Perfectionism, Imposter Syndrome and Intrusive Thoughts.
I specialise in CBT interventions for Low-Self Esteem, and continue training in the impact of anxiety conditions on work and personal relationships.
In-person therapy clinic; Central London EC1, Canary Wharf, E14, and Knightsbridge SW1W.
