About me

Consultant Anaesthetist with specialist interests in obstetric anaesthesia and orthopaedic surgery as well as gynaecology and ophthalmology. I provide anaesthesia for labour and delivery, including epidural analgesia and caesarean section, and for a range of orthopaedic procedures including knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, and hip and knee joint replacement.

Research interests

Obstetric anaesthesia, particularly the management of women with congenital and acquired cardiovascular disease during pregnancy and childbirth. Special interests include adult congenital heart disease, maternal haemodynamics, obstetric haemorrhage, uterotonic pharmacology, patient safety, human factors and crisis management in anaesthesia.
