About me
I am a qualified CBT therapist working with adults with depression and a range of anxiety issues. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP). I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a useful way of working through difficult past memories.
Aside from private practice, I have also worked on a voluntary basis for both charity and NHS organisations.
I am currently working both remotely and face-to-face.
I am committed to working together with individuals, providing a safe and supportive place for them to navigate difficult times in their lives. Sessions are non-judgmental and allow people the opportunity to talk through their issues with someone outside of their immediate circle of family and friends.
People can often feel stuck in negative cycles of thoughts, feelings and behaviours. CBT can help identify these cycles and explore how they can be broken. The focus of sessions is very much on developing new coping strategies and making positive changes moving forward.
Areas of interest
Adults aged 18+; Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Generalised Anxiety; Low Self-Esteem, Stress; Phobias; Depression.
I am both CBT and EMDR trained.
