About me
Dr Williams was appointed as an NHS Consultant Cardiologist at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital in 2021. His main interest is in the treatment of coronary artery disease and he is skilled in interventional and invasive procedures such as coronary stenting using physiological assessment and advanced imaging techniques. He has an honorary contract with King’s College Hospital in London where he covers the out-of-hours primary PCI rota for ST elevation MIs.
Dr Williams is also experienced in managing a broad range of other cardiac diseases including heart failure, high blood pressure, heart valve disease, palpitations and cardiac risk assessment.
After graduating from Oxford University Medical School in 2010 with an additional intercalated honours degree in Medical Sciences, Dr Williams went on to complete Cardiology training in the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex region. He undertook training in Interventional Cardiology at The Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and at Kings College Hospital in London, and was awarded an MD from Brighton and Sussex Medical School in 2020 following a period of research into the interventional management of common heart valve abnormalities.
