About me

I'm an integrative counsellor, accredited and registered with the BACP. I have completed an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and have over 10 years experience of working with clients presenting a variety of problems. \i have experience of long and short term work. More recently I have been working in the NHS providing short term therapy. Prior to working as a Counsellor I was a mental health outreach worker for 12 years; working with clients in the community with severe and enduring mental health needs. I feel passionate about finding the best results for every client, so they can live more comfortably with their pain and difficulties.

Within the first session I will carry out an assessment of your needs and ask you what you wish to achieve from the sessions. I will then tailor my approach to your requirements. I work with her clients to recognise how their past experiences may be affecting their current situation. I will explore patterns of thoughts and behaviours which prevent life progress, moving past fears, anxieties and depressive feelings. You can expect to experience a welcoming, warm and non-judgmental space for you to start to make some sense of your difficulties and find ways to make lasting changes.
