About me

Mr David Selvan graduated from University of Liverpool with Honours.

He successfully completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Mersey rotation and attained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr David Selvan then completed his specialist knee fellowship in Manchester.

Mr David Selvan currently works at Southport and Ormskirk hospitals (Part of Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust) as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics, with a special interest in knee surgery, lower limb fractures and acute knee injuries including sports injuries.

He works at Renacres Hospital and Fulwood Hall Hospitals for his private practice specialising in knees problems including soft tissue knee injuries, sports knee injuries and arthritis of the knee.

Mr David Selvan is very keen on patient outcomes following knee replacements and supports Enhanced Recovery forall his knee replacement patients.

He has previously been the clinical director for the department in his NHS practice and also Royal College Tutor for the trust as well as training lead in the department and has set up the current teaching programme. He also runs an ATLS course as course director in the trust.
