About me

Having qualified from University of Strathclyde in 1995, Lesley worked in GP surgeries in Glasgow and Lanarkshire supporting patients with both physical and mental health issues. She continued her studies achieving a further post graduate award in 1998, specific to working in primary care settings. While working within NHS settings, she was instrumental in developing and evaluating pilot schemes within GP practice and Occupational Health which subsequently became the forerunner for the primary care counselling services on offer today in Scotland.
She also has experience of counselling younger people, gained in her role as a student counsellor at Glasgow Caledonian University.
For the past thirty years she has continued to have a successful private practice offering 1:1 and couple counselling. Lesley has particular skill and experience working with anxiety states and stress management and specialises in the area of work related stress and burnout. She provides support to corporate and private clients as an affiliate, consultant and trainer. She is also a qualified clinical supervisor and trauma reponder. She designs and delivers bespoke stress awareness/management training to private and public sector organisations. **Currently offering remote working by video or telephone**
