About me

In over ten years of clinical practice I have developed a keen interest in neurological occupational therapy, treating a variety of patients, including those with acquired brain injury, stroke, Guillian Barre, multiple sclerosis and Huntington’s disease. I feel confident with complex seating, thermoplastic splinting, use of FES and saeboflex on the upper limb, assessment and treatment of visual impairments, complex cognitive and behavioural assessment and treatment. I also have experience of working with patients in a prolonged state of consciousness, including the use of WHIM and CRS assessments. I am experienced in setting up rehabilitation programmes to help towards return to work including liaising with employers to explain impairments and possible changes to work duties. I am competent in enabling access into the community, making recommendations for home adaptations and supporting leisure and social activities. I take particular pleasure in helping patients achieve their goals, always aiming to promote independence.
