About me
I specialise in general gynaecology with specific expertise in gynaecological oncology surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, minimal access surgery and colposcopy. I am a core member of the oncology MDT and the colposocpy MDT enabling me to discuss patients with confirmed or suspected cancer and complex colposcopy patients. I treat patients with general gynaecological complaints such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pre menstrual syndrome, menopause and post menopausal bleeding.
I am a certified colposcopist and member of the BSCCP so able to perform smear tests, colposcopy and treatment to the cervix to treat cervical pathology or post coital bleeding. I also perform outpatient hysteroscopy and operative outpatient procedures such as endometrial polyp and fibroid resection and endometrial ablation.
To date I have performed over 600 laparoscopies and over 1000 hysteroscopies to treat and investigate a variety of gynaecological conditions. I am the hysteroscopy lead for Univeristy Hospitals of Birmingham and a core member of the oncology and colposcopy MDTs Multidisciplinary team.
