About me
I am a Medical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of Breast Cancer.
I have graduated in Medicine from the University of Ioannina Greece. I hold a degree in Biochemistry from Benedictine University, USA with honours. I had my Masters degree in Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Surrey, UK in 2002. In 2016 I was awarded my PhD in Medical Oncology with First Class honours.
I have completed my training in medical oncology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and University College London Hospital.
Areas of interest
My clinical and research interests are in the field of breast cancer. I have been active in research and led on a number of breast cancer clinical trials as principle investigator.
My research interests include prognostic and predictive biomarkers, liquid biopsies and treatment implications in metastatic breast cancer treatment as well as tumour sequencing and liquid biopsy monitoring for prediction of recurrence in early breast cancer. I have vast experience in tumour related metastatic models, angiogenesis and the combination of immunotherapy with drugs and novel compounds.
I have participated in a number of trials and have presented and published in international medical journals.
